Litt forskerhumor:

Jeg sitter og skriver på masteroppgaven min om dagen, og det er av og til litt vannskelig å vite hvordan man skal uttrykke seg, da er det greit å vite hva en forsker egentlig mener med det han sier...
  • It has long been known... I haven't bothered to look up the orginal refrence.
  • Of great theoretical and practical importance... Interesting to me
  • Extremely high purity... Composition unknown exept for exaggerated claims of the supplier
  • Three samples were chosen for detaled study... The results of the other didn't make sense and were ignored
  • Accidentally contaminated during experiment... Dropped on floor
  • Handled with extreme care... Not dropped on floor
  • Typical results are shown... The best results are shown
  • While it has not been possible to provide defiente answers to these questions... The experiment didn't work out, but I figured I could get a paper out of it
  • These results will be reported at a later date... I might get around to this sometime
  • Future work will clarify... Forget it!
  • The most reliable values are those of Jones... Hi was a student of mine
  • It is believed that... I think
  • It is generally believed that... A couple of the ther guys think so too.
  • It might be argued that... I have such good answer for this objection that I shall now raise it
  • Clearly... You might understand it but I don't
  • Correct within an order of magnitude... Wrong
  • It is hoped that this work will stimulate further work in the field... This paper is not very good, but neither are any of the others on this miserable subject
  • Thanks are due to Jim Glotz for assistance with the experiment and to John Doe for valuable discussions... Glotz did all the work and Doe explained to me what it meant
